Post-Graduation Reflection

Graduation exercises were on this past Saturday, and I must admit, the whole thing was, meh at best.  The speaker was ok.  The hoopla was there, but not as energetic as I thought it would be.  And, most importantly, the ceremony was just awkward – there was no rehearsal, so no one had a clue what they were doing most of the time.

What gets me most is, though, is having to repeat my plans for the future to everyone that knows me.  This is something I’m going to do many times each for several individuals, and I can’t stand it.  These people don’t think, I’ll tell them something one week, and the next, I’ll have to say it all over again.  They don’t really care, they’re just trying to make conversation.  If I wanted to talk to them, I’d say something.

That sounds harsh, mean-spirited, but, honestly, if you knew some of these people, you feel the same way, I assure you.

Anyway, I have some free time, so I’ll start a running post schedule – read: I’ll try to be consistent.  Also, head over to G.O.N.G. (linked in the sidebar) for more of my rantings, reviews, and motivationals.

-Peace
