Furthermore, I just recently finished my first run of InFamous. I must say, it was pretty enjoyable, though a little predictable. I’ve also been playing quite a bit of WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009, a guilty pleasure if I must say so myself. I haven’t played a wrestling game since (then) WWF No Mercy on the N64. Yes, good times… In fact, I’m the process of reviving my old created wrestlers, complete with unique appearances and gimmicks, new move sets, and individual entrances complete with unique theme music. I know, its bad, but I can hardly help myself.
See, when I get a game like Madden of a WWE title with a create feature, I milk that option as much as possible. I like to make my own teams and sub them into franchise mode. Same holds true with wrestling games; I make my own personas and work out my own story-lines, rivalries, and the like. I still watch Smackdown and Raw on occasion and TNA when ever I think about it. It’s a tie to my childhood, as I at one time wanted to be pro wrestler, a stunt man, and well, an action movie star. Obviously, none of that is in my future (at least I don’t think so), but I have no problem with living out my dreams virtually.
So, until I become Batman in August, I’ll be content to be Vamp, current WWE Champion.
